President of Fun

It is totally official. I am the new Burley Jr. High School 7th Grade President. I am so excited. And I am happy that my term is only 1 year. But on a more serious note ( it really isn't but I just want to sound all fancy,) I am very happy to be the new prez. Of course, not any 12 year old student could handle this amount of responsibility. Only a mature, awesome, fun-loving, grateful, responsible, kind, well-natured, teenager could handle it. Now, where ever will we find one at BJHS? Over here! Jenna Young is perfect for the job. Hahaha, not to be a brat, I am just really happy. Anyway, I went to the dance on Thursday and had a great time. I didn't dance with anyone, but my friends really wanted to set me up with somebody. It was a blast. Well, I hope that I can serve the school as the rightful new president.

My Sweet..........13!

That's right. It is almost my birthday! I am going to turn 13 and I am so excited to be legally able to watch PG-13 movies. Just kidding, that isn't the only reason I am excited. I love my birthday. And I will finally be considered a teenager.(Although, I am a little scared to be like a mean, grumpy, horrible teenager.) But you know, I will make it through. After 13 I will be a teen for 7 more years. I am really excited though. Anyway, it will be fun this year. Maybe I can bribe my parents to take us out to dinner. That sounds like fun. Well, to anyone who reads this, have a day!

Not a Day Goes By

Judging from the title, this is a post where I just let out my emotions and pour them onto my blog. Not a day goes by that I don't wish that I was a little different. But at the same time, I love who I am. I love that I can get along with others, I love that I am able to have the faith that I do, I am so thankful that I am a daughter of God and over all, I will be able to return to him someday with my eternal family. If you think about life in a different way, it isn't as hard as it seems. I have found personally that just being me is a great thing because I wouldn't want to be anyone else. I love knowing that I am a unique individual and I will try to show my appreciation more often. Man, do you ever have some of those times when you feel so spiritual and everything feels right, in a way? That is what I would like to have my life be, but being challenged is a blessing. Well, that is about it for today.

My eternal family.

Just A Review

First item of business, school is here once again and I am both happy about that. I am so happy to finally be with all of my friends this year! They are amazing and I really I am happy to be so lucky to deserve such great people. As I get into a routine, I will be a little more comfortable with school, but it is not so bad all-around. As I get closer to becoming 13, I sort of wonder how I will turn out to be like a real grown-up individual. I hope that I never lose sight of my standards and things that matter to me. I really want to strive to be the person that I don't see in others. I want to try to be an example to lead all of Heavenly Father's children back to him. It's a big responsibility, but I don't have to do it in one day or all by myself. As I said before, my friends are always there for me and I love that they care about me. This year is all about trying to be a better self. Well, with all that is going on, there are times when you stop and realize who you really are and want to be. Those are some of the best and worst moments in life. It depends on what you think of yourself. Man, I hope I can take my own advice. Well that is it for now. Please comment so I can know that you guys will always try to support me. Thanks everyone.

Retreat for Girls

This past week I was down at Utah State University. No, I am not that smart. I was there with my friend from Nebraska for Retreat For Girls. It is a program similar to EFY, but only for girls 12-15. And boy did I have fun. My friend, Meghan and I shared a room. We also shared a dorm with 4 other girls and we were in a group, the seagull gals, with 6 other girls. My counselor's name was Spike (no that is not her real name but they all have fun names.) Anyway, I can't really go into detail how awesome it was, but it was so spiritual and fun. When I came home, I realized how hard it really is to be good and good examples for others. This is a program that you really should tell other people about because it really puts our standards into focus. I really already miss it, but I am looking forward to going next year! Tell all of your friends. It is worth investing in.
