My Life According to Me

You Just Have To Be Grateful
Well, what a week it has been. It has been a hard one, but worth it, I guess. On Wednesday, I had a school dance, and that caused even more drama that I have to sort out. For the past weeks, I have been kind of depressed at school. I didn't like talking to pretty much any of my friends, and I was having a really hard time. Then, to make matters worse, at our Ward Christmas Party, I was kinda left out of the group with some great girlies, which I understand, because some things aren't meant for everyone to hear. So, I wanted to be brought home, but my dad couldn't. Later, I was with the same group of girls and Riley. [Of course, I was trying to remove Riley from that picture.] My mom came rushing to us and sounded mad. She told us that Connor had been in a car accident, and of course, I asked if he was OK. She said he was, but our car wasn't. She rushed off with someone in my ward to the scene. Then, it all just came down on me. I was freaking out, mostly at the time because we have lately been struggling with two cars, and one just wouldn't do. I was pretty much holding back tears until I got home, and I ran to my room and just let the water-works run free. I started BALLING! After a while, I had enough strength to go call my bestie, Abby. I started talking to her and I don't think she could even understand a word I said. I had such a hard time saying anything! Seriously, it was bad. I hardly got any sleep at all! The next day, Abby couldn't come to school, so that made things worse for me. All of the rest of my friends could see that I was not like normal, and finally at lunch break, I told three of my friends what happened, and I started crying again. They all gave me hugs and then, after weeks, I felt normal! Oh, and about the car situation, my uncle and aunt are letting us borrow their truck until our car is fixed. And that's the other thing! Wednesday afternoon, we went to the place where our car is, and they said they can most likely fix it because the damage isn't that bad. And our insurance will help us pay for most of the fixation fees. So, my life is back to being good!

What A Great Week!
So, Thanksgiving was this week. I had such a great time with my family and everyone. We just hung out and talked and had such a fantastic Thursday. I was finally able to play with my cousin Ari, who previoulsy wouldn't let me hold her or anything of that sort. She is such a cutie pie. So, we just had a great time.

My Fall Season!
To start off this post, I have to express my excitement for HALLOWEEN! Yes, it's true I love Halloween. This year I am not going Trick-or-Treating,
but I am going to a costume party.
I am going as a black cat, almost looking like
Cat-Women,but much more modest
and appropriate. It is going to be so fun!
Second item of business on the agenda(well, honestly it should be the first, but Halloween was closer....) NEW MOON! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a Twilight Freak, but I don't really care. I am so excited to see what the movie will be like. And for the record, I am still on TEAM JASPER! He is amazing! I also begin to see that Taylor Lautner is incredibly HOT! And that isn't just because he is a werewolf.

I love the fall season. I am also excited to go from carving pumpkins to carving the turkey during Thanksgiving. It is really and truly my favorite time of year-fall and winter- because of all of the fun things my family does. I am so excited for everything that I will be doing this fall.

Here's a Review
Recently, I have been busy and overall tired. But, life is awesome despite my complaining. I am doing pretty well in school and am loving my position of 7th grade president. I am also loving being a 13 year old girl. It is great being a scary teenager. Life is pretty sweet if you learn to love it. My friends are awesome as usual and we are awesome together. I am really loving getting to know more people at school. I am so happy to be able to know some really awesome people. They are amazing and I never noticed standing right next to me in the past. Clogging has already started and I am attempting the new and difficult steps. Awesome people on my team. I am loving every part of it. I am just really happy right now. I like being happy. It helps me think of what is important in my life. Well, I better stop blogging and get to my algebra homework. Thanks everyone reading this for being in my life. I love you all in a special way!

President of Fun
It is totally official. I am the new Burley Jr. High School 7th Grade President. I am so excited. And I am happy that my term is only 1 year. But on a more serious note ( it really isn't but I just want to sound all fancy,) I am very happy to be the new prez. Of course, not any 12 year old student could handle this amount of responsibility. Only a mature, awesome, fun-loving, grateful, responsible, kind, well-natured, teenager could handle it. Now, where ever will we find one at BJHS? Over here! Jenna Young is perfect for the job. Hahaha, not to be a brat, I am just really happy. Anyway, I went to the dance on Thursday and had a great time. I didn't dance with anyone, but my friends really wanted to set me up with somebody. It was a blast. Well, I hope that I can serve the school as the rightful new president.

My Sweet..........13!
That's right. It is almost my birthday! I am going to turn 13 and I am so excited to be legally able to watch PG-13 movies. Just kidding, that isn't the only reason I am excited. I love my birthday. And I will finally be considered a teenager.(Although, I am a little scared to be like a mean, grumpy, horrible teenager.) But you know, I will make it through. After 13 I will be a teen for 7 more years. I am really excited though. Anyway, it will be fun this year. Maybe I can bribe my parents to take us out to dinner. That sounds like fun. Well, to anyone who reads this, have a day!

Not a Day Goes By
Judging from the title, this is a post where I just let out my emotions and pour them onto my blog. Not a day goes by that I don't wish that I was a little different. But at the same time, I love who I am. I love that I can get along with others, I love that I am able to have the faith that I do, I am so thankful that I am a daughter of God and over all, I will be able to return to him someday with my eternal family. If you think about life in a different way, it isn't as hard as it seems. I have found personally that just being me is a great thing because I wouldn't want to be anyone else. I love knowing that I am a unique individual and I will try to show my appreciation more often. Man, do you ever have some of those times when you feel so spiritual and everything feels right, in a way? That is what I would like to have my life be, but being challenged is a blessing. Well, that is about it for today.

My eternal family.

Just A Review
First item of business, school is here once again and I am both happy about that. I am so happy to finally be with all of my friends this year! They are amazing and I really I am happy to be so lucky to deserve such great people. As I get into a routine, I will be a little more comfortable with school, but it is not so bad all-around. As I get closer to becoming 13, I sort of wonder how I will turn out to be like a real grown-up individual. I hope that I never lose sight of my standards and things that matter to me. I really want to strive to be the person that I don't see in others. I want to try to be an example to lead all of Heavenly Father's children back to him. It's a big responsibility, but I don't have to do it in one day or all by myself. As I said before, my friends are always there for me and I love that they care about me. This year is all about trying to be a better self. Well, with all that is going on, there are times when you stop and realize who you really are and want to be. Those are some of the best and worst moments in life. It depends on what you think of yourself. Man, I hope I can take my own advice. Well that is it for now. Please comment so I can know that you guys will always try to support me. Thanks everyone.

Retreat for Girls
This past week I was down at Utah State University. No, I am not that smart. I was there with my friend from Nebraska for Retreat For Girls. It is a program similar to EFY, but only for girls 12-15. And boy did I have fun. My friend, Meghan and I shared a room. We also shared a dorm with 4 other girls and we were in a group, the seagull gals, with 6 other girls. My counselor's name was Spike (no that is not her real name but they all have fun names.) Anyway, I can't really go into detail how awesome it was, but it was so spiritual and fun. When I came home, I realized how hard it really is to be good and good examples for others. This is a program that you really should tell other people about because it really puts our standards into focus. I really already miss it, but I am looking forward to going next year! Tell all of your friends. It is worth investing in.

Heavens To Betsy's Good Gravy
I hope that you all enjoyed the title of this post. I just like saying that sometimes. So yesterday was the 4th of July and I had such a fun time. I woke up much to early and went to a breakfast at the stake center. Then I went home and put on my funky costume for the Rupert parade. ( I was helping for the Dance Festival, by the way that is the last week of July.) Anyway I had a good time doing that and it was pretty fun. After the parade, we went to my cousin's Grandma's house to eat lunch. It was so yummy. We had pulled pork sandwiches with two salads, fruit, chips, and a yummy drink. After that we kinda sat around waiting for our parents to take us boating. During that time, me and Connor and my cousin Ceci went to buy some tanning oil cuz we didn't want sunscreen. The oil smelt like, and ok if you can understand this, it smelt like how a tiger's blood flavor snow cone tastes. Confusing I know but that is like the only way I can describe it. Anyway we went boating and had a wonderful time. Oh a while back we went to the Regatta and I took some sweet pics so I will post those too.( See if you can find a hidden pic in one of them)

I Was Right!
I was right. Girls camp was sooooooo much fun. I can't tell you all of the gory details but I can tell you that it was sooo wet and rainy. On Wednesday we had a hike and a devotional in the mid-morning. Then we went to a fun project. We were decorating black flip-flops with water balloons. (and it was ironic because it was raining a little when we were doing this.) I didn't finish all the way, but neither did most people. We went swimming after we made our flip-flops. We all looked so cute in our pink camp shirts with our bandannas and our flip-flops! And most of us had crazy hair. I will put on a picture of my after camp hair as soon as I can. After we went swimming and had a fun time we came back to find that one of two tents, mine and eight other people's was leaking. We rolled everything out of the way and tried to cover everything while we ate dinner. Right after dinner was picked up, it started pouring and we were all trying to keep our belongings dry. We had a back-up plan. Since we were about ten minutes from Lava Hot Springs, and my Grandparent's own a house up there, we went to stay there. Our YCL's told us to pack everything we needed except our mats. So here I am trying to pack all of my crap into all the bags I can find. We were all so stressed out and tired and we just wanted a bed at that point. Anyway, we got to the cabin, (house) and UNLOADED everything we had packed before. Anyway, all was well that ended well and we had a great girls camp.

Girls Camp

I am so excited to finally go to girls camp. You know when I turned 12 it was bitter- sweet. I mean I was happy that I was finally involved with tons of fun stuff, but I was sad because I had missed the temple celebration by 10 days. I know it was a test of my faith and I wasn't going it alone. Connor missed the trek by a few days so I think he knows how it feels. I also missed Stake Girls Camp but there were two other girls from my ward that missed it too. And both these experiences taught me a lesson; the Lord works in ways that would not always be our own. Life goes on and I will have plenty of fun adventures. Oh, I forgot, I am going to apply for the traveling team in clogging. Next year they are taking a tour I think in Portugal (most likely) and I have a slight chance of making the team. You have to be 14, but by then I will be 13 and very nearly 14. Anyway I will just wait to see what happens.

One of the best things in the world is..........

NEW MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, thanks to the help of Jessica, I saw the preview of
New Moon the movie. My Jasper is still gorgeous! especially when he
almost kills Bella. And I will admit that Jacob is hot. From what I have seen, it looks like it will be
so much better than Twilight. They even got the phasing right. I think that with a new director,
the movie will be a thousand times better. I also heard that they tried
to put everything form the book into movie form. Anyway, I really want to see it
like so bad. Thanks Jessica, you saved me.
TEAM JASPER ALL THE WAY!

Is It Spring YET?
Well howdy to all of y'all out there. Um, I don't know what was with the whole Western freakishness but- anyway, I made some changes to my playlist and my blog description. One song I put on there is very strange for a 12 year old girl, but I always sing it with my class. Speaking of school, the last few days just seem to drag just to annoy you, am I right? Well there are only like 2 weeks left and I am SO excited! The only thing that would make spring better is, warm weather, although rain does get me out of mowing the lawn. Well, today is only the first day of May, so weather is unexpected. For all I know, it could snow tomorrow.

Anne of Green Gables
I extend the greatest amount of gratitude to all who take time to read my very blog. Haha! That is a little what my character, Felicity, was like at an Anne of Green Gables party. My friend had a birthday party and boy was it fun. We all dressed up like old-fashioned people and had a tea party. Once I get pictures from it I will post them. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. First of all, I had a perfect costume but then I added a hat and gloves. I won a prize for the best spokes girl and one for the most ladylike eating. Who knew that forking your vegetables was what it takes to win a prize. Anyway today I get to do my roadshow. Fun fun! Well until I write again my sincere wishes are upon you.

Fantastic
Thanks to the amazing help of Holly, I finally got my playlist on here. One song, The Pilot Song, sounds different the original that I like, but the chorus sounds normal. It is a good song. Anyway listen to all of my songs to see and hear what weird stuff a crazy person listens to. Thanks everyone!

You Got A Friend In Me.
Hello to all who enjoy reading things on my blog and even if you don't like to read my blog, I extend a hello to you as well. I am currently at my friend Zoe Ferrin's house and I wanted to show her my blog. So now I am writing about how good a friend she is. Anyways, I have a ton of make-up on right now because I had a clogging performance at the Jr. High. By the way, Ashley, if you are reading this your husband is very talented in backup singing for Hannah Montana. You must be so proud. Ha Ha! Anyway, I will try to post something else as soon as possible.

Guidence is a Good Thing.
Hello to anyone reading my very blog. Congrats on finding it as well. Right now I am watching General Conference. How lucky we are to be able to hear what the Lord wants us to know. I have a saying that stays on my dry-erase board.
*Going to church and reading the scriptures*
*are privileges not chores, so be thankful*
*for the guidance.*

Trouble Strikes Again
Today Riley was excited for his first hockey game this season. I didn't go because I was watching Twilight, which explains itself. Anyway, he came home earlier than I expected and it turns out that he now has a buckle fracture. Poor little dude. Anyway he has a brace and is sad. So now you know why he will be wearing a brace. Our family can't hang out with the Hansen family. (That own Idaho Water Sports.) Connor blew out his knee with Christian Hansen and our cousin broke her arm with Christian Hansen there as well. Connor Hansen was at the hockey game with Riley. The picture is of Connor Hansen.

We all need inspiration.
Hey, how many times do we complain about how hard our lives can be. i know that personally, I do it quite often. I shouldn't, but I do because of my attitude. A good friend of mine said that happiness is an attitude, and to manage that attitude, we have to choose to be happy. I believe her and can apply it to my daily life. Another person I can pick on would be my cousin. She broke her arm in July of 2008. If you want all of the gory details then here they are. * She had a compound fracture and her bone near the wrist came through the skin and she had to have surgery. She had a nail put through her bones and had a plate and 7 screws put in her arm too. She was the first person in the Magic Valley to have this surgery.* After the surgery, I volunteered my help in helping her recover. As we sat and watched T.V., she kept telling me not to feel bad for her because it could have been much worse and that it was preventing something worse from happening. ( She was a cradler on the cheer leading team.) She was very optimistic and her motto is " everything happens for a reason." Anyway, before we complain, we need to think about how easy our loves can become if we have a positive attitude.

What Makes Me Happy!

Yay, I am so happy and excited for the release of Twilight the movie. Oh my goodness I want to scream! I just love the books and really enjoy the movie. I also found out today that New Moon started filming like today or yesterday and will officially be filming on April 5. By the way, since my blog is called,Jenna-Team Jasper, you should be able to see a picture of my incredible Jasper Hale or Jackson Rathbone. The other picture is of the Cullen family subtract Carlisle and Esme. ( They went hunting or something, let's go with that.) Anyway I want everyone to be able to view my obsession.

Tamarack Skiing
Last weekend,my family took a trip to Tamarack Resort. A lot of people ask me where that is so it is just about 25 miles from Cascade, five hours away. We stayed in an awesome condo that was literally right next to the lifts. You could see the people coming down a run called Encore. We just skied right to the lifts and we skied right back home. The next day was Sunday,so we went to Sacrament Meeting. The BRANCH there was so small, our Relief Society was bigger. They were nice people though. After church we came home and ate dinner and the parents went to the Lodge to "hang out". While they were gone, the kids decided to go cross-country skiing around the condos. I fell like 5 times going downhilll. After the parents got home, we packed up and left. We stopped in Boise to see the Idaho Water Sports store up there. It was so big and there were really nice boats there. We got home at 10:30 and we were so tired. It was a great weekend despite how sore I was for the week afterwards.

My Weekend in Utah
This weekend I went to Utah for my grandparent's farewell. They will be going to the West Indies Mission for 18 months. Riley does not want them to go but I am all for it. We went shopping for a new outfit and shoes(of course) and we had a great time with our family. I had a fun time being with my grandparents and my cousins.
