My Life According to Me

Mexico, here I come!

Well, just saying, but it's pretty sweet to know that soon you will be in Mexico partying it up. I am extremely excited! I have a few dillemmas though. First off, I have to share a room with the brothers, which really wasn't an issue the first time when I was nine or ten, but now being 14, I kinda want to be with another girl. (Mady Taylor) The problem is is that a room can only fit 3 and there would be four boys needing a room. I guess Riley might have to be spending the night on the floor. Another issue is that there isn't really anyone my age, but they are pretty close. The ship offers these "groups" for certain ages, and the thing is is that I can either go to the 12-14 year old group and be by myself and also be one of the oldest kids and also the most beautiful, or I can fib about my age and go with 3 other kids including Connor, and be one of the youngest and still the most beautiful. I have no idea what to do! I mean, for most of the time I will be touring Mexico, but still, it is fun to stay up all night with complete strangers. Leave me a comment and let me know what I should do! Thanks.

Merry Christmas to Me!

WOW! This has been the best Christmas ever for my family. Especially me. I got tons of candy, movies,a new full-length mirror which was desperately needed, slippers,$50,my own SEWING MACHINE! and uh, oh ya, my family is going on a CRUISE to MEXICO! I am so excited because the last cruise I went on, I was pretty young and I can't really remember it, but when we go during spring break, I will surely remember it. It is going to be so awesome. And to make it better, we are going with some family friends. It is so happy. I am loving this Christmas.

The Inner Kiddie!

Whoo hoo! There is no more school for the rest of this year! I am so happy! It's going to be nice to sit back and relax for a while. And, sleeping in will be a huge part of my happiness this season. I am going to go skiing and I am also going to enjoy staring at my Christmas tree with the lights off! It's just going to be a great Christmas all around.
I made my friends cute cute cute pillowcases. They are the colors of everyone's room. They all loved them and they were fun to make with my Mama. I got TONS OF CANDY from everyone else too. Not such a great idea, but I guess they don't have to put up with the craziness that candy causes. Well, I will blog later, but I have to get ready for a birthday party.

That's What I'm Talking About!

Only one day of school does a person a lot of good. Seriously, this week was supposed to be short anyways, but thanks to bad weather conditions, there was only one day of school on Monday. So now we have an extra long Thanksgiving weekend. Also, Pomerelle opens today, so my family is going skiing tomorrow and then on Friday we will have our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
We aren't going to Lava Hot Springs anymore because my Grandparents don't want to risk somebody getting hurt. So, we get to have another Thanksgiving all by ourselves. Last time we did that, it was so fun. We just ate whenever we wanted and we sat and watched tv. It was one of the best holiday weekends I had ever had.So, I am really looking forward to eating whenever and whatever I want. I am just going to listen to Christmas music and snuggle up and watch movies.

Party Time!

So last night I went to a surprise birthday party for my friend Cade. We had tons of fun people there, which was good, because he was pretty mad that night. We had some great food, and some awesome people. We did a video scavenger hunt, and that was amazingly fun. We all watched each others videos afterwards, and we were lauging so hard while we were throwing candy at each other. We also entertained ourselves with night games, which was pretty great. We are just crazy teens having crazy times. It's pretty good though, when you are at my age when you can go to teen dances with all of your friends, but you can also have fun parties. Anyway, I totally love Halloween, and my friend Nikela is having another party tonight! Can't wait.

Baby Names

Okay, seeing as it's Jenna, this is a totally random post. Me and my friends have been talking about what we would name our kids when we get older, so here are my top 10 names for boys and then girls.
1-Aiden, 2- Braeden, 3- Lucas, 4- Logan, 5- Cason or Carson, 6- Gage, 7- Tyler,
8- Landon, 9- Keagan 10- Kyler. These arent in order, well, not really. Haha, here are the girlie names.
1- Leah(I absolutely love this name) 2- Elena, 3- Nora, 4- Brielle, 5- Allison,
6- Reagan, 7- Claire, 8- Ella, 9- Paige, 10- Taryn.
Well there you have it folks (whoever you are) Those are names that my kids will most likely have. But, that doesn't include middle names. Well, I will have to mix and match, because I'm pretty sure that I won't have 20 kids like the family on TLC. Who knows though?

The Stomach Bug

Wow, it's again that time of year (which it seems is all year) that the yucky stomach bug is coming around. I absolutely hate it, but I don't get sick all that often. It is just not fun to have and so far, both of my parents have it so my chances of getting it are like pretty high. Apparently it went through the high-school volleyball team, so it must have traveled on. I hate how people come to school with it though. I wish those people would stay home and rest and watch some SVU like me.

TGIF!

Holy heavens to Hannah! I am so happy that it is Friday! School is starting to get annoying for me. It has lost all of the excitement and has moved into the stage of annoyingness. I am just exhausted right now. It is the Homecoming game toinght, so that will be fun. I just need to relax, but I have so much homework, so guess who will be in her room for the entire weekend working? Me, if you didn't already get that. So, anyways, I will just do it and go back on Monday fresh and tired ready to slug through a whole new week.

The Sweet Smell of Fall

I am so happy that it is fall. I really enjoyed my summer by all means, but it just seems like it is time to settle down with fall. I love the crisp fall air, and the beautiful colors that comes with it too! I love the smells that come with fall too, like cinnimon and pumpkin pie! I especially am fond of Thanksgiving, and I am definately looking forward to that. But more of that later. Recently, I have been getting into the art of pie making. (Well, sort of) Today I made a banana cream pie, which happens to be my absoulute favorite, and I also made a chocolate cream pie. They are really yummy! I also helped my mom make some tasty chicken cordon bleu. We are having them tomorrow and I can't wait. I am very tempted to just finish them tonight so that I can eat them! Also, tonight is a teen dance, and I am excited. I will actually have some friends to hang with, so that is good. I really love being 14,and I just feel so, I don't know, old I guess. Not like an oldie, but I feel more responsible, so we'll see how long that lasts. Peace off!

Conference Weekend

This weekend is sure to be great considering how I started it off. Last night I went to play nightgames, and it was so fun! All of my friends were there and we were so crazy. The worst thing that happened however was when my knee locked back when I was running, so I was limping for a little while. But, I was up and going in no time, but still didn't make it to the end in Fugitive. Anyways, Friday was crazy. Craters of the Moon in the morning/afternoon, lawn mowing in the evening and night games at night (obviously!) But now I get to settle down and work on homework from Friday while watching Conference. It will be great. And then tonight, I am going to the Haunted Mansion in Albion with my besties, so that will be very fun. I can't wait for the rest of the weekend to come!

Homework

Wow, my homework load hasn't been to complain-able this year, but since I am going to Craters of the Moon with honors science this Friday, my homework burden went way up. The good news is that it will be conference weekend, so that gives me plenty of time to waste away and finish my work last minute. Just kidding, I'm not a procrastinator. Hey, I know the definition of procrastinator, but I will tell you later. Well, pretty much the only reason that I blog is to let out some steam, so I don't really think that it matters to anyone how much homework I have. Whatever! Anyways, peace off everyone!

Just Another Day

Wow, Jr. High days are just wonderful, right? The answer is..... depends on who you are. My year this year is way better than last year so far, which is great. I have mostly great classes and my favorites are law, honors science, geometry, and being a teachers aid. I am really happy with all of the new electives that they have had this year, so that is a plus. I am doing pretty well so far in school (I hope!)School is just school and it will always be just school, so there you go!

So, as you can see....

I have had a major blog change, and I like it oobers. It is just fun to have a change once in a while, and I figure, changing Jenna, changing blog. In other news, school is going pretty great. I have good classes for the most part, and I make tons of friends like every day. It is really good to have such good social skills, and I have come to realize that it is actually a talent (I think) sent from God. I think it was meant to be that I have a way with words with so many different types of people. Anyways, being 14 is so great. I love being able to do so many more things. Seriously, I have so much more freedom. I can go to teen dances which by the way is a miracle in itself, and I can experience so much more in the Church. I just am in love with getting older (for right now.)I'm sure when I get to be old enough, I will just join the club of Mama's that turn 29 every year. Ha! Anyways, my blogging will be a little more frequent I think, so stay tuned for more wonderful posts from the Jenna.

SEATTLE!

The Young family reunion was so fun this year. It was like 22 hours of travel time not including all of our touring, but still, it was worth it. We traveled like all day Wednesday, but it wasn't the worst car drive of my life. Thursday we went to a Theo chocolate factory and learned about fair trade and saving gorillas through buying Theo chocolate bars. It was a fun tour with lots of mostly yummy chocolate. Later we went to the Seattle Mariners game who were playing the Texas Rangers. It was okay, but a little tiring after hearing my cousins say "GO MARINERS!" and then right after a contradiction of "SUCK MARINERS" Yeah, it was great. We did so many fun things and had really fun photo shoots. My dad took some great pictures. Here is a sample!

Dance Festival Week!

Hooray! Dance festival is OVER! It is sad to say goodbye to wonderful people, but that means that I don't have to be at the high-school 24/7. That isn't even a joke. Since I was my mom's personal assistant/pack mule I had to follow her around everywhere. On Thursday, I really was only home for 3-4 hours. Fun right? haha, NO! This year (and in this order) Thailand came at about 5:30 on Monday night, Mongolia (who didnt speak any English) came in at 11:30 p.m. Monday night, Egypt at 5:30 on Tuesday night, and China at 6:20ish on Tuesday night. The first night went smoothly because of the separation time. haha, on Tuesday however, Egypt was getting checked in and all, but we had to be to Steadman's to check in China. Well, we were at the Best Western to check in Egypt, so it was a race to get to Steadman's in time to check in China. Well, they beat us! Everything went okay, but there were many, many, many storms that made things a little difficult all week. It was really fun this year with all of the teams, and I got to represent U.S.A in the opener and closer. I still get a little teary eyed when I think of the teams leaving, but I will be okay. Honestly, the Dance Festival is SO AMAZING! Everyone should really consider hosting or being on the commitee, because it is one of the best experiences in my 13 almost 14 years. I always look forward to it and it is always amazing!

Catching Up With Summer!

Okay, so, I haven't really posted anything for a while, so, her it comes. A while back, Connor, Riley and I went boating with a ton of Connor's friends. It was so fun. Also, some of our good friends have moved here from Omaha, Nebraska and it is so fun to have them here! My friend Meghan is in that family and she is who went with me last year to Retreat for Girls (which is coming up next week!) She is such an awesome girl! Okay, so after boating, was Girls Camp! It was so fun this year and our theme was GOT HEROES? So every ward had a color and a hero. We were orange for Choice and Accountability and our hero was Nephi. Camp was such a great experience for me to draw closer to the young women, and also to God. After camp, I went to the midnight premiere of Eclipse, and it was awesome. My favorite one yet! Okay, after the movie comes 4th of July weekend. My family decided that instead of the usual boating activity we do every 4th of July, we went camping! It was so fun. I mean, honestly, all we did was sit around and do nothing but make fires and eat. Well, I did finish a book, but still. I actually got a pretty bad burn one night, but it's not so bad now. I get a pretty awesome scar from it! So now, I have like a free week to finish shopping with my Mama. Like I said before, Retreat for Girls is next week and I can't wait! It is so fun to be with LDS girls that are my age for a whole week, and I honestly have brought so many things home from last year that I am yearning to go back and strengthen my testimony for the church through fun activities and wonderful people! Well that almost sums it up for today. Oh, whoops! Forgot to mention that I cut my hair again. But this time, it is textured and such, so it is a fun summer haircut!
(These are all of the girls from the 4th ward who went on the 5 mile hike)

This is a really ugly picture of my new hair. You can't really see it, but whatever.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Wow, seriously, this rain needs to leave! Cause instead of this-

we get rain! Yay, it is so fun being cooped up inside being forced to work, and even though I am a teenager, I cannot sit on Facebook for like 3 hours straight. Well, maybe the rain will leave.

Here We Go!

Where to begin? Let's see, school is OUT! Viva la SUMMER! Can't wait to go boating, chillax, and do anything that my heart desires! Okay, I'm going to backtrack now. About 2 weeks ago, my life went to plain chaos. My bestie/sister said something to me and I started telling people all this crap and I don't even know why. It was a major mess, and that night I didn't stop BALLING! My friend was mad at me and I can't blame her. Anyway, so after about 2 hours of me just crying and explaining stuff two my mom, she dragged me out of my room and drove me to my friend's house so that I could formally apologize. I was there for about, uh, 2 HOURS! But it was good. I was crying and my sister was crying, and we finally worked everything out. We are stronger than ever and I am loving it. We have decided that next clogging season, we are going to do a clogging duet. It shall be fun! My life is pretty much the same, but posts will be up and coming!

Easter/Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend! You don't have to get dressed, or wake up early, or do anything at all. You can just sit there. The only thing that can make it better is having it on easter weekend. It is just wonderful. My family is like obsessed with conference, but me not to much. I watch it, but sometimes I sit there and tune out. I have to be doing something with my hands to be satisfied. Yesterday I played solitare on my dad's new laptop {the one I am posting on right now} during pretty much the whole conference time. So anyways, Happy Easter and have a good conference experience!

Can Life Get Better?

Whoohoo! Prayers paid off! Finally, (well not really) life is good again. Turns out, I am most likely getting new carpet, new paint, and I already have my new bedspread. I am going to talk to Lana about hooking me up with some sweet colored flowers made of vinyl. I can't wait! My room is going to be amazing! And, it's pretty much official that I am going to Retreat! YUPPERS! Katie e-mailed me back and said there is still plenty of room. My dad says we will probably have enough money too. I am just so excited. I have been wanting to go back to RfG for like ever. On the way home last year I was crying because I had already missed it. So, ya, I am totally happy!

This is my group, Seagull Gals! This is me and my Mama Spike.

Slips My Mind

Well, once again it has come to the time where I keep telling myself I need to post, but I never do. Since I was changing up my blog a lot, I decided I might as well post. So first off, like a really long time ago, there was a girl with beautiful long blond hair. This girl was totally awesome and learned how to be awesome from a girl named Emma, who had a form of cancer. She decided that she would cut her hair to donate to Locks of Love because Emma also taught her love and friendship. So 12 inches later her hair looked like this. She wasn't really used to her hair until about 5 hours after she cut it. She is now so happy that she did and is loving the new hair. {Well, I've had it for more than 3 months, but still, you get the idea}

After Christmas this certain young girl that I have been talking about has had some harder days at school because many people ignore her or are rude. At least she has some best friends to save her.

Anyways, thing are getting better and my hopes for going to Retreat for Girls are getting stronger. I really hope that I can go and have a moving and spiritual experience like I did last year. It was really fun. Well, that wraps it up for today, and until next time, this is a wonderful awesome girl {JENNA} saying GOODBYE!

It's Just Hard

Well, telling by this title, I need to let out all of my emotions. I shouldn't be complaining, but I'm going to anyways. My school life is becoming harder and harder. I mean the work isn't too bad, but all the freaking DRAMA you can't run away from sucks. It seems like quite a few of my friends hate me now. I mean, they are mostly jealous of me because I have been besties with Abby Tae for eight years now, and now they are trying to replace me. They physically push me out of the way to stand by her. It really isn't that big of a deal, but they always cut me off when I am telling a story, and it just gets so annoying. I don't have anything to worry about, because I know that Abby won't leave me for those jerks, but still, it makes me sad that someone would be willing to hurt me to get what they want. Anyways, I still have two best friends, Abby and Jackie. They understand me no matter what mood I am in, no matter what has gone on, they are always right there with me. I am not really happy until they are, and vice verca. They are so amazing. Thanks Girlies!
